Magdalena Moser
Organ

 

Born in Leoben and raised in Kapfenberg and Aflenz (Styria), Magdalena Moser won several first prizes at the “Prima la Musica” competition during her youth and received the Talent Scholarship from the City of Graz.

She began her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the subjects of piano and clarinet, completing both with excellent success. She followed this with a Bachelor’s degree in organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, graduating with distinction.
Additionally, she studied piano-vocal accompaniment, composition/music theory, conducting, and opera coaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
She is currently completing her education with a Master’s degree in organ in Graz and composition/music theory in Vienna.

Magdalena Moser is a multiple prize-winner in national and international organ competitions.
She was a finalist at the St. Albans International Organ Competition (UK), where she was awarded the Judith Weir Prize. She received the Douglas May Award in St. Albans, as well as first prize at the Jean Sibelius Fest Competition in Turku. For her outstanding achievements, she was awarded the Recognition Prize of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
In addition, she won first prize at the International Franz Schmidt Organ Competition, second prize at the International Organ Competition in Korschenbroich (Germany), and multiple prizes at the Martha Debelli Competition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where she was also awarded the Dr. Rudolf Kirchschläger Scholarship.

She has performed at the Salzburg Festival, the Vienna Musikverein, and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, among others.

Since 2022, she has been working as a répétiteur and music theory teacher at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz and has been leading the organ class there since April 2023.

Maria Beatrice Cantelli
Flute

 

Flutist Maria Beatrice Cantelli hails from South Tyrol. Born in Bologna and raised in Brixen, she studied flute, Baroque flute, and violin.

At the age of 16, she began her studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Prof. Irena Grafenauer. She completed her concert performance studies with the highest honors and received the Recognition Award from the Austrian Ministry of Culture. This was followed by a Master’s degree at the Orchesterzentrum NRW in Dortmund and Detmold.

She gained her first orchestral experience as a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and as an academy student with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
Engagements followed at the Salzburg Festival, La Scala in Milan, Camerata Salzburg, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra Bolzano/Trento, the String Academy Bolzano, and a temporary contract as a flutist with the Graz Philharmonic. She has worked with conductors such as Franz Welser-Möst, Kurt Masur, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Harding, Andras Schiff, Jonathan Nott, Helmut Rilling, and Jordi Savall.

Since 2013, Maria Beatrice Cantelli has been the principal flutist of recreation – the Graz Orchestra, leads the concert agency Klassikwunsch, and performs as a freelance flutist in Austria and abroad.

Bassoon

 

Tonia Solle hails from Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany. She began her musical education early with the recorder and piano. At the age of 13, she discovered the bassoon and launched her career with numerous first prizes in youth competitions.

She laid the foundation for her bassoon training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim and the University of Music Freiburg. After graduating with top marks, she pursued postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg and further honed her skills in the master class at the University of Music and Theatre Munich. She completed her studies with a degree in historical bassoon instruments at the Private University of Music and Arts Vienna.

She was awarded scholarships from the German National Academic Foundation, the Future Initiative Rhineland-Palatinate, and Villa Musica.

Tonia gained orchestral experience with the Munich Philharmonic as an academy student and with the Duisburg Philharmonic at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as an intern.
From 2013 to 2018, she was the principal bassoonist of the Graz Philharmonic.
She has performed with the WDR, SWR, and BR radio orchestras, the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria, recreation – the Graz Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Bremen Chamber Philharmonic, the Bavarian State Opera, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, and many others.

As a specialist in historical performance practice, she performs both nationally and internationally and is also deeply engaged in contemporary music.
